[ardour-dev] 44.1 khz/48 khz ??

Could someone else test this .. is this just me  ? I created a few seconds of 
wav using a test tone @ 1 khz, recorded at 44.1 khz. Then I exported this 
using Ardour to a stereo 44.1 khz 16 bit file. When I imported this file into 
Samplitude and Adobe Audition( Cool Edit Pro) it stated it was 44.1 but 
played back slow; as 48 khz @ 44.1 khz. I've tested the wave using 
sndfile-info and it appears correct, but the raw data inside the wav wrapper 
seems to still be 48 khz.
