greetings everyone!

I'm wondering if it is possible to control ardour via a remote
application?  Is there any sort of interface or perhaps a api I could
use to tell ardour to create a new track and record on it?

Basically what I'm trying to do is add something to seq24 so it can
automate my recording process.  Since I usually have 10-20 midi tracks
and only 4 audio inputs, it takes a while to record each instrument by
hand.  I want to be able to say, record these 4 in stereo, now these in
mono, now these, etc.. and just let seq24 do all the tedious work for
me.  Sort of like a "render to ardour" mode. :)

Is this just a dream or is something like this feasible?
