It might also just be a problem of not enough RAM. If KDE and Mozilla
and so on eat up all memory, then somewhere swapping will have to
occur. I know, jack uses mlock and stuff, but if there's too little
RAM, what can jack do about it? I'd suggest to either close memory
hogging applications (which almost for sure is *not* the window
manager itself, even the KDE WM is very, very small) or to buy more
RAM.
