Just added SC4 (2 in/2 out) to a 1 in/2 out track, saved it, quit,
restarted and got the following dialog: 

programming error: redirect automation curve for SC4:6 not registered
with audio track! 

Press to Exit 


Editing the .ardour file and removing the insert then restarting causes
a hang (it finally releases since I'm not running realtime now).

More in a second.  I'm going to try SC4 on 2 in/2 out.
