Don't install them.  Instead, run ./ardev in the gtk_ardour directory of the version you want to run.

What is the best way to run 2 versions concurrently on one system? I
have 0.9beta11.2 running pretty solid. I would like to do more testing
on the new releases without disturbing what I already have :)
