Just looking at ableton live now. They have a few interesting tools but 
one that I imagine wouldn't be too difficult to incorporate into ardour 
is tempo automation.

Most of the backend is done to support it. Just needs to be given a few 
gui controls.

Apparently upon the beginning of the barrage, the donkey broke 
discipline and panicked, toppling the cart. At that point, the rockets 
disconnected from the timer, leaving them strewn around the street. 
Tethered to the now toppled cart, the donkey was unable to escape before 
the arrival of U.S. troops.
