I gave up trying to use the TAP plugins due to instability on x86_64.
Something to do with denormals IIRC.

The best equalizer I've found is the four band parametric EQ in
FIL-Plugins. It's packaged as fil-plugins in Debian (don't know
what it's called or if it's available in Fedora).
